  • How Much Time Do I Need to Commit each Week to Your Ultimate Design Brief?

    Commit to anything worthwhile

There is no one set answer to this question.

In fact, it is almost impossible to answer because every Your Ultimate Design Brief student starts from a different place and has their own unique circumstances and experiences…

Are you currently working full or part-time? Do you have dependent children?

If so, I recommend you start by allocating 3-5 hours every week for 6 weeks.

Or, if your home improvement project is imminent, or you have 20+ hours per week to dedicate solely to this course, then you have the option to fast-track the entire process within 1-2 weeks if you make the commitment to focus on tasks within the 5 Pillars of the course.

Regardless, you need to be committed to:

    • * Watch the course modules.
    • * Attend the LIVE Q&A Brainstorming Sessions (with me, Kristina, as your guide and mentor).
    • * Implement what you have learnt about yourself with the practical, fun, and simple exercises I provide.

Depending on which phase of the process you’re in, you may need to devote more or less time in a week to documenting Your Ultimate Design Brief and learning your design personality.

Should you get behind, or encounter circumstances that take your attention away from Your Ultimate Design Brief course, we have built-in an additional 3 weeks’ “safety net” (total of 9 weeks), which covers “life’s roadblocks” for 99.99% of homeowners.

Beyond the 9 weeks, we have an ongoing members-only group for homeowners who want even more from their home and can “hang out” with other past and current ‘Fearless Happy Homeowners ®’.

Yes, this ongoing member-only group is a paid subscription, but it is set at an affordable amount and is not necessary to achieve success and an ongoing return on investment from taking the course.

Are you ready to make this commitment? Click here to sign up for our course waitlist. I look forward to watching your graduate as a ‘Fearless Happy Homeowner ®’.

  • My partner and I are wanting to do a renovation in our house. Can they do it with me also? How can I move forward with taking your course if my partner and I aren’t on the same page?

If you are looking at tackling a new build or renovating a space within your home that will be used by both of you regularly (e.g. lounge, living, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, outdoor entertainment area etc), then we encourage you both to do the course together.

One person registers, and you both do the

exercises together to create a combined Your Ultimate Design Brief (that represents both of you).

You will find this to be potentially a very exciting journey of self-discovery together.

If you are looking to renovate anything in your home – then this typically involves investing time and/or money; it is not always a decision you can make on your own.

Communication is key in any relationship. Have an open and honest conversation with your partner about your why.

What is your why? Why is this important to you, how do you see this changing your life, and how are you going to get there?

Some of the topics you might want to bridge with them are as follows:

    • * “I have been having this odd feeling that the decor and style inside our home does not suit me. It actually makes me feel a little uncomfortable…”
      • * “Before you say I am making this up – did you realise that 75.4% of homeowners that have recently finished a room makeover have the same uncomfortable feelings?”
    • * “You know how you want to build an outdoor entertainment area with a pizza oven, BBQ, infra-red heaters, covered area, etc… did you realize that up to 29.6% of the budget for doing this is wasted on embarrassing rework?
      • * “However, I have found a way to minimise that wasteful cost, and how to ensure we both absolutely LOVE the finished result!”
    • * “For us both to enjoy the finished renovation AND survive the actual renovation process itself,  this course sounds really interesting! It promises to reduce anxiety, stress, and overwhelm before and during a renovation, as well as help us minimize wasteful rework. Does that sound intriguing to you?”
    • * “I have found this great renovation preplanning resource. Check it out – it includes a spreadsheet and helpful tips and hints!”

In other words, appeal to both sides of their minds; the logical as well as the emotional.

We encourage you to complete one module before you dive into the next one; mainly to protect your time, and ensure your attention and focus while sparing you from the intense overwhelm that stops most homeowners in their tracks and results in them ‘winging’ it when it comes time to start the design!
