"...It took me a few weeks to get to the lightbulb moments. At first, I was thinking, 'It's all good in theory, but how is this going to help me sort out MY style & not make a mess of my reno?'!"

“I was really scared about doing any form of DIY room makeover, having some idea of what I like, but worrying that I don't have the skills or flair to pull a style together.

‘I don't have a style, I just like the stuff I like, but it's not a cohesive style'. I assumed I'd end up with some nasty clash and an idea that I liked, but was overall a bit disappointed with, and that everyone else would hate.

I had no idea about budgets, all the elements required to do anything (consents, electric plans, demolition and removal costs…) and I was already so overwhelmed just thinking about all the millions of decisions that would need to be made. Did I even care what door handles were used or which light switches? How would I know where the power points and light switches needed to go before I lived with it?

I also knew that my husband's [design] style is very different from mine…how could we blend our styles together?

I've never done any sort of reno before and I have no idea where to start. But, I do want to make changes in our home.

When I saw this course, I wasn't hesitant at all, I knew this was exactly what I needed.

I was dubious, though. How could you possibly help me figure out my own head, and find my style, when I don't have a style! And online, in a group? I would need serious one-on-one coaching to achieve anything half decent.

But I was so wrong.

I learned so much about myself, but none of it was a surprise. Just surprising that it was all there, hiding, with me having no idea how to pull it all together. AND, I now know exactly how to marry my husband's and my styles.

And I know that it's OK to go with what I love and that will make me feel good in my home.

Now I understand that I do have a style and how to work it. And what my husband's style is and how to work them together.

And now I have this info forever, for every reno or room makeover I ever do. I know some quick wins to make any space work for me.

I've become bolder as I am more confident in my likes and dislikes.

Doing the course online was great. It was easy, didn't have to get myself anywhere, didn't require travel time. I loved hearing from the others in the group. It was such a nice little community and Kristina is a great teacher and very available to help, answer questions,  provide direction

It was great to see how other people's styles were similar or different to mine. I understood why I didn't prefer some of their choices and that made me feel that it was OK that other people won't prefer mine. But done thoughtfully and following a plan, everything looked great, even if it wasn't my style.

I now understand why I like things and that they are important – like that I need to feel a connection with the outdoors. I had a feeling that I wanted to incorporate indoor plants in a cohesive way (not just trying to squeeze them in as I do now) and that I want to be able to see lots of flowers/garden from inside. Now I get that those desires are actually really important to my well being and how I feel in my home.

My house is cluttered with photos, kids artwork, and things I have collected. Now I know that I need these things and that I need to display them in a way that meets my husband's need for clean lines and no clutter.

It took me a few weeks to get to the lightbulb moments. At first, I was thinking, ‘It's all good in theory, but how is this going to help me sort out MY style & not make a mess of my reno?' then the seasonal personalities came into play and everything clicked. It felt like such a relief.

And also the proof that Kristina DOES know what she's doing! And it IS possible to figure this out via an online group course.

I highly recommend Creating Design Clarity's Your Design Personality Course to anyone who is not 100% confident in their own style, or not 100% confident in their ability to create beautiful spaces that they will love.

“We absolutely love the attention to detail that screams ‘us’ built into the home.

Every time I walked into the home [from being away], it provided me with an uplifting feeling.

"...ensured an impressive result. Every time I walk into my kitchen, 5 years after it was finished, it still makes me smile. It is a representation of ‘me’ with the colours, style and the functionality that makes me sing!"

“Now that I am enjoying my retirement after working all my life, it was time for some changes in my home. My kitchen was the first on the list to change as the old one was bland and probably designed by a man. I was recommended to talk to Kristina.

As an architect and interior designer Kristina did something that I hadn't heard of before. She got me to think and do a range of exercises all about me.

Combining this with her skills and vast experience ensured an impressive result. Every time I walk into my kitchen, 5 years after it was finished, it still makes me smile. It is a representation of ‘me’ with the colours, style and functionality that makes me sing!

Kristina assisted in the redesign of my kitchen using what she now calls ‘The Austin Home Method' as part of her Your Unique Design Personality course.

I’m extremely grateful to her as she gave me clarity, ideas, efficiency and passion, and most importantly because I got what I wanted!

"given me the confidence to express my own style and creativity... I've made some changes by introducing colour and texture into my living area, and it has made a huge difference!"

“Kristina is a creative design champion; she really knows her stuff and has a lovely way of guiding you to find your own creative personality.

I was a bit hesitant to enrol to start with, but I needed some inspiration for our home, so I took the plunge.

I am so glad I did. This learn Your Design Personality Course has given me the confidence to express my own style and creativity.

Kristina certainly lives up to the mantra of creating a ‘happy homeowner'.

So far, I've made some changes by introducing colour and texture into my living area, and it has made a huge difference! Even a friend commented on how clean and fresh the place looked.

I've also rearranged and updated my home office, and now I actually love working in it!

I'm looking forward to using my newfound confidence and knowledge to tackle bigger home projects.

I loved this course, and I cannot recommend Creating Design Clarity's Your Unique Design Personality Course enough. Every homeowner should do this course.”

"The course changed the way I think about space and made me feel like I have the confidence to create the kind of life I would like to live.."

“Kristina is a master home coach, and she will take you into a new world of form, function, and style where your view of living is transformed.

While you might initially think her course is on your ‘ultimate home', what she teaches is life-changing – how to live your best life in your current space (in my case I am currently renting) to the best of your ability.

She will take you through a process that expands your vision into blue-sky thinking of how you would love to live, through a journey of colour, style and form, a consideration of the technical and functional elements that you need to consider, before giving you a sound blueprint that you can use to transform your space.

The course changed the way I think about space and made me feel like I have the confidence to create the kind of life I would like to live.

I also learnt how much my perspective is limited by what I have previously had, so as a renter, when asked about my ultimate home list, I immediately thought of things like a nice bench rather than a big picture.

I feel like I have a much better idea of spaces and how they can be transformed, and a much more generative view of how I view buildings.

Regardless of whether you are a renter or own your home, Creating Design Claritys' Your Design Personality course will help you live in a happy place.”

"I found I was better able to stick with what I wanted and not be swayed by the builders' opinions, and I am so glad I did."

Joy Gibson

“I've been involved with doing up a kitchen before, other than that, just painting and wallpapering.

My biggest hesitation with deciding how I was going to approach starting a home improvement was caused by my self-doubt about being able to make good choices with design and colours.

I was quite stressed about the idea of spending a lot of money and not being happy with the result.

Having studied online in the past, I was happy to give this course a go and was excited about what I would learn. I enrolled in this course because I thought it would be very helpful with my upcoming projects, as I'm not confident with colours, etc.

During the course, Kristina gave thorough explanations of what was expected and answered questions promptly. She was also very encouraging.

It was great to be on calls with other students and to hear their ideas, enthusiasm, and encouragement. I never felt like I was alone, as there was always someone else having similar struggles and triumphs.

Once I've finished the course and know my design personality, I am immediately converting two large rooms into a self contained unit. Then doing up my kitchen.

I'm going to use an architect and builder for my renovations, and then I'll be doing the final touches myself.

I now understand myself so much better, I feel a lot more confident in choosing colours and patterns, and I’m really happy with the results so far in my renovations.

I found I was better able to stick with what I wanted and not be swayed by the builders' opinions, and I am so glad I did.

"Creating Design Clarity perfectly describes the greatest value lesson for me as CLARITY has been my golden light bulb moment.
Armed with this new knowledge, I have been able to demystify why past homes have not felt fully reflective of my own design personality. "

Keren Wallace

“BEST decision I ever made,  was to sign up for Creating Design Clarity's Your Unique Home Design Personality course.

Especially given that I have already clocked up a number of Interior Design courses prior, and had completed a bunch of renovations, and recently built from the ground up!  So,  I was excited to see what more I would be adding to my toolbox with this particular course.

Kristina, with her depth of knowledge and passion, guided me on a path of new discovery and took me right back to the drawing board, unbundling my thoughts on trends and styles and unlocking what it truly takes for my home to be my personal haven.

I quickly realised that I often play it TOO safe, seeking balance and harmony, and I want to push my limits and be more daring, mixing it all up with confidence!

When you take on this Your Unique Design Personality course, you will definitely have fun, and you will definitely learn a lot!

It will be challenging, and at times you will find yourself questioning why all the in-depth personal reflection – but hold tight, as this is where the ‘gold’ and true discovery within is found.

Pillar 4 of the course was a superstar; extending my understanding of colour will make me bolder in my choices, and crystallising why I am drawn to certain shapes and patterns will ensure more confidence in my future purchases.

Even though Kristina doesn't specifically teach the colour psychology of your clothing, one of my personal lightbulb moments is that I now also understand my dress style; I am a Spring Winter in both my home and in my personal style—the dots have all been joined!

I find that spaces that reflect my personal home design style are also user-friendly for my partner, children, and me. And this might not be the case for someone else's home. But I don’t live in other families’ homes; we live in our home!

Kristina is an absolute gem, talented, passionate, and a true professional. Her coaching style is warm and encouraging, with plenty of humour.

Creating Design Clarity perfectly describes the greatest value lesson for me, as CLARITY has been my golden light bulb moment.

Armed with this new knowledge, I have been able to demystify why past homes have not felt fully reflective of my own design personality.

I rate her so highly that if I get the chance to build from scratch again, I would love to convince her to be my wingwoman and come on the ride!”

''Our problem was no master plan or design brief that documented what we wanted to do - before swinging the sledgehammer!''

Leith Esterhuizen

“My partner and I had just purchased a ‘do up' house for us to live in.

We had previously flipped a house, but this one is much more work, and we can see ourselves being here for quite a few years (Govt regulations withstanding).

We ripped into the project. However, we found that we were at odds with each other on where to place the new kitchen – should we move the door, put in a window etc.

Our problem was no master plan or design brief that documented what we wanted to do – before swinging the sledgehammer!

Next upcoming issues was colour palettes and materials.

At this point we stopped the process temporarily and engaged with Kristina's Creating Design Clarity Your Unique Home Design Personality course. She got us both to do some exercises that got us thinking about our preferences. What she called my design personality.

The results were really pleasing – my partner and I can definitely see a way forward together with this major renovation. We have similar tastes, it makes me feel more comfortable to discuss these choices with her and not assume that she is going to choose some wacky colour. Although this probably speaks more about me! Also, what she chooses I can be confident that I should like it even if I cannot quite picture it myself, and visa versa.

Kristina has put a lot of effort into the various parts of this course, and it is well done. I also think that some people won't quite know the value until they go through the process, and so I encourage you to do the course and see the results for yourself.

Take the leap! You will be very pleased with the outcome.”

Working with Kristina’s clients is easy. They know what they want. No changing of colours midway through a job

"We chose a colourful glass splashback (aqua blue) which we get many positive comments on and it feels like a little bit of outdoors is now indoors..."

Claire Seel

“Our old kitchen seriously needed an upgrade, colour scheme was very dated, and the pantry had always been a sore spot in the kitchen.  I wanted a fresh look with clean lines and something bigger so more people could work in it together.

When I look at my kitchen there is not one thing that I would change.

We love the colour, layout, practicality and stylish look.

There is nothing we would change about it.  We chose a colourful glass splashback (aqua blue) which feels like a little bit of outdoors is now indoors.”

"In all cases, the professionals were guided by my documented design personality. I have become much more confident with myself as I am not distracted by trends or styles that look great but don’t truly complement us. Of course, we absolutely love our place. It feels cosy and is a true reflection of us."

Robyn Pringle

“My husband and I live in our family home. He is a builder, so DIY is our natural default.

Our children have left the home, and we wanted to update it. I had some distinct furniture pieces and accessories I wanted to keep from my childhood. However, I was a little stuck on what to do next.

I started looking online and looking in magazines and got overwhelmed with all the choices and styles.

I was recommended to learn my Unique Home Design Personality. I was a little sceptical at first about discovering my colour psychology profile – she reassured me it was not like those silly quizzes you get on Facebook – ‘If you were a colour – what would it be', rubbish.

Kristina helped me understand and clearly document my design preferencesall of a sudden I realised clearly what I did and didn’t like when it came to colour and style preferences.

I provided these design preferences to my local interior designer who then put together a complete look for our lounge. My husband and I absolutely love our new lounge as it feels like a real sanctuary for us both – and we spend a lot of time in this room each day.

We were significantly more confident, and so we then renovated the kitchen, and our ensuite, and have just finished completely redoing my ‘She Shed’ (hobby room).

What is so unique is Kristina did not design any of the rooms;
in the lounge and kitchen we used 3rd party professionals (separate from Kristina), and we DIY'd our ensuite and my hobby room.

In all cases, the professionals were guided by my documented design personality. I love how simple the process was to follow. I have become much more confident with myself as I am not distracted by trends or styles that look great but don’t truly complement us.

Of course, we absolutely love our place. It feels cosy and a true reflection of us. Thank you, Kristina. I highly recommend you learn Your Unique Home Design Personality before starting any home improvement project.”

"The realisation that I could use colours that bring me joy after thinking I should not choose them because of fashion or what other people think was, well, joyous! ...that put the emphasis on the house being a tool for me to play with and play in."

Janet Strode-Penny

“Close friends built a house, bought new furniture, had a designer do the colours, curtains, tiles etc. Each element they added was ‘nice’, however, the house has no soul. They know it, they try to fix it by adding superfluous furniture etc. but it still feels wrong

I didn’t want to make the same mistakes as them, so I enrolled in this course. I am slowly understanding what was missing in their home. It is the lack of feeling of being in one’s own skin.

If you created a house that reflected yourself, this would give guests a feeling of comfort, it would say feel me, this is who I am. The house is an extension of me, and they know who I am. This would lead to comfort for those who love you as they should feel comfortable in your space as it is a reflection of who you are. Plus, of course, the home environment would nurture and comfort us, the occupants.

I am not confident in not knowing what I don’t know. Can light fittings corrode? Do different bulb types cause migraines? Are there healthier options for homes? What about planet-friendly items? Will gas become scarce or expensive soon? What are the best floor surface choices for varnish? So the function of items or surface coverings is one of my limiting factors. I have no idea about colour combinations, textures, or decor styles. However, I will trust the process, Kristina has laid out in front of me.

Pillar Four Seasonal Personality was my first major lightbulb moment and what I enjoyed the most in the entire course. I found I am a Spring with a secondary of Autumn. When I worked out my partner’s design personality, he was Autumn with a secondary of Spring. So that was cool!

Finding out our [home design] personalities, showed me how to achieve the look that matched us perfectly. e.g. Floating furniture for Spring. Solid earthy beams and furniture for Autumn.

Then learning about the use of the percentage of three main colours, was also another lightbulb moment!

Another mention would be the use of seasonal plants and weeds as colour guides. As a person who loves gardening, I put them in separate colour groups on a collage board. It was an easy way of looking at everything at once and helping me choose the feeling I wanted to achieve. My eyes were automatically drawn to what I was looking for in the room.

The realisation that I could use colours that bring me joy after thinking I should not choose them because of fashion or what other people think was, well, joyous!

I now feel confident in applying colour to our home.

I loved the moment when I realised I needed a movie theatre. #deepimpact How fun! And that put the emphasis on the house being a tool for me to play with and play in.

The renovation GO button has now been pushed, and the builders arrive tomorrow for our first project, ‘The Little House’. I am going to use the interiors of our two houses as practise for the final one.

I learned a lot in the course, and I will continue making work boards for each of these major renovations.

Thank you, Kristina, as it has been invaluable for these two upcoming renovations, and there are a lot of exciting ideas milling around for the final one!

My imagination house….which had no walls out the back…. Maybe I quite like it open! My world now has no ceiling! The possibilities are endless!

You have got something very important to share with the world, Kristina! I hope you spread the joy of colour!

My recommendation is for you to take this course before starting any renovation project in your home. Don't end up with a soulless home like our friends have. 😢

"[Kristína is your] first point of contact for any prospective home interior styling"

Tina Gray

“I have had business connections with Kristina for many years. Her architectural knowledge, combined with her strong creative abilities, means she intuitively understands her customers’ needs.

For Kristina, her most important role in helping identify and develop a customer’s unique design personality, should be the first point of contact for any prospective home interior styling, which is Kristina’s area of expertise.

I would describe her as exceptional.”

"I was gladly surprised to find myself on the other side, identifying my own home designing style and having a clear idea of what I really wanted."

Ameli Anton

Working with Kristina has been rewarding. Her ability to genuinely listen, absorb the advice given, mould it and combine it with the vast wealth of knowledge and experience in her field has been impressive to witness.

These skills are a clear reflection of her professionalism and talent as an Architect and Interior Designer. She has a level of creativity and intuitiveness that clearly allows her to understand what her clients want and need.

She has taken all of this to make her [Your Unique Home Design Personality] course that I enrolled in.

During one of the sessions, she walked me through a process she has developed for her business. I was gladly surprised to find myself on the other side, identifying my own home designing style and having a clear idea of what I really wanted. It was brilliant, and I cannot recommend her enough!

"It wasn't just about picking colors or styles; it was about understanding how I wanted to feel in my space."

April Williams

“After years of juggling career and family, I finally had the time to focus on creating my dream home. The kitchen was my top priority – it had always been functional, but it never truly felt like ‘me'. A friend suggested I look into Kristina's Your Unique Home Design Personality course, and I'm so glad I did.

What stood out to me was how the course encouraged self-reflection. Through a series of engaging exercises, I discovered aspects of my design preferences that I had never consciously considered before. It wasn't just about picking colors or styles; it was about understanding how I wanted to feel in my space.

The Austin Home Method, which is at the heart of the course, combined my personal insights with professional design principles. The result was beyond what I could have imagined. Now, three years later, I still walk into my kitchen and feel a sense of joy. Everything from the layout to the color scheme reflects ‘me' in a way I never thought possible.

What I appreciate most is how the course gave me the confidence to articulate my vision clearly to the design team. I wasn't just picking from options they presented; I was an active participant in creating a space that truly works for me.

The kitchen has become more than just a place to cook – it's where I start my day with a smile, where I love to entertain friends, and where I feel most at home. I'm incredibly thankful for this course. It didn't just help me design a kitchen; it helped me create a space that enhances my daily life in ways I hadn't thought possible!”
