How Long Will It Take for You to Understand Your Design Personality?

It depends!

Assuming you watch, reflect, and implement the prescribed material, by the end of the 2nd week (spending 3–8 hours each week), you can be one-quarter (1/4) of the way through understanding yourself better from a design preference point-of-view.

By week 6-7, you will have clearly and concisely documented your unique home design personality.

If you are going to use a design professional (architect, interior designer, colour consultant) for the creative part, then by the end of Pillar 7, you have “finished” that part of the course. 

You give them a copy of your home design personality document and they can instantly start their creative magic from there. However, I will encourage you to go to the next level of the course. AKA, getting room specific.

However, if you want to 100% DIY the room makeover, or you want more of  collaborative style discussions  into the design of the space with your chosen design professional, then in Pillars 8, 9 and 10, you will focus on the specifics of your upcoming home improvement project and create two room specific documents.

• Item #1: Fearless Home Project Board'.
• Item #2:'Your Ultimate Design Brief'.

You have now formally “finished” the course. 

These two documents will guide you like a compass with all of your design decisions. 

You are now a Fearless & Happy Homemaker®

Whether you exit at the end of Pillar 7, or Pillar 10, you are now what I call a ‘Fearless Happy Homemaker®'
